BARCELONA, 2022
I wouldn’t recommend anyone above 30 to stay at a hostel. For real. Noisy, dirty, too social, too busy, too crowded, too much fun for me. No, fenkiu.
Travelling on a budget, althought, will call for the cheapest options of accomodation and sometimes, sacrifices have to be made. Either a hostel or couchsurfing in some psycopath’s basement.
In some cities like Barcelona, we had to stay in 2 hostels!! Some calculation errors in the calendar led me to book the hostel one day later than the actual scheduled arrival. But this was not the issue, actually that unplanned hostel was walking distance to the bus station, so it worked out ok for the first day.
Our next hostel was near La Rambla and we thought it was a safe bet. The hotel itself wasn’t bad. But it didn’t have a kitchen, which was pretty strange. Anyways, prices of hotels in Barcelona are quite expensive so I tried to go cheaper but not below 7 stars rating.
We were staying in an 8 people mix dirmi, when one night, while sleeping, we heard some «side action» going on in real time. Anyways, it wasn’t too loud so I covered my head and kept on sleeping, I usually cover my bed with a towel as curtain, so I peeked but couldn’t see anything strange going on.
A few minutes later, I woke up to the sound of something that I thought was «running water», so I peeked through the towel again and to my surprise there was this naked chick, legs wide open, standing between my bed and the German girls towels on the floor letting all out!!! I started slapping her on her side yelling «hey, hey what the fuck are you doing??» and she totally ignored me and went back to her bed. By this time, we were all awake, except this chick and the guy that I don’t know where he was.
So I went to get the hostel receptionist, he had to come and mop the floor in the middle of the night. He checked her bed but the guy wasn’t there. So we all went back to try to sleep.
Early in the morning we’ve got woken up by another commotion. Zips opening and closing, giggles, laughs, wishpering. The dude was back in the room with this chick and she was going bonkers packing her bags and trying to find things. My partner los his shit and decided to go for a walk while I started to shout at her to shut up and let people sleep.
Finally, when she left we had a conversation with the german girls and they said that also the guy was walking around naked in the middle of the night!
And because Karma is a bitch, the «american chick» that cause all this drama also lost her phone and passport… and probaby gained a few STDS…
